Road to Dream Technology
– Creating New Products for the Next Generation –

Our research facility pursues three missions to realize “safe, smooth, and comfortable road construction”

  1. Challenging New Fields to Solve Social Issues

Development of next-generation materials that meet social needs and realization of automation and labor-saving for next-generation construction projects.

  2. Strengthening Differentiation of Core Products

    Continuous improvement of product quality

  3. We will create the next future

Passing down existing technologies with the aim of enhancing our own technical capabilities, and establishing open innovation hubs to build a better tomorrow

Through these missions, we continue to contribute to society by building the infrastructure of the future.

Main Research Fields and Projects

We will contribute to building the foundation of safe, smooth, and comfortable road construction through the following activities:

Development of Environmentally Friendly Next-generation Marking Materials

To realize a sustainable society, we are developing environmentally friendly road marking materials using biomass materials.
We are also researching high added-value new materials such as high-durability marking materials that can be used for longer periods to contribute to safer and less environmentally impactful infrastructure development.

Achieving Labor and Time Savings in Construction Work Processes

In the future maintenance of road infrastructure, it will be necessary to address social issues such as a shortage of young workers and a decrease in skilled laborers.
Therefore, we are promoting the development of next-generation construction machinery in collaboration with research institutions.
By achieving labor and time savings, we can make stable road maintenance possible.

Unwavering Pursuit of Product Quality

To provide products that are both high quality and cost-effective, we are continuously improving our existing products.
We also prioritize business continuity by incorporating BCP (Business Continuity Planning) into development to aim for the stable supply of products that society demands.

About the Research Facility

Nippon Liner - company exterior2

Our research facility aims to realize a safer and more environmentally friendly society through integrated material and construction technology development.
Nurturing next-generation engineers and building a sustainable future is also a key mission.

At this facility, we focus on developing researchers with broad perspectives by merging fields such as chemistry, mechanics, and electronics.
We have also created an environment where open innovation can thrive, collaborating with other industries and research institutions to accelerate the development of new technologies.

Three Research Areas

Cutting-edge Technology Development Facility

This is a research and development hub that looks ahead to future needs and provides timely delivery of new products and technologies. Equipped with facilities for integrated material and construction technology development, it offers an environment for necessary analysis and evaluation.
We also train engineers involved in construction and development, focusing on nurturing human resources who will support the future of manufacturing.

A Hub for Co-creation and Open Innovation

This facility provides a platform to actively promote industry-academia-government collaboration and exchanges with other industries to accelerate the development of next-generation technologies. It offers an open space with large monitors to promote discussion and information sharing, supporting the creation of new technologies.
It is also used as a venue for safety education for local children and aims to become a hub that sends out innovative technologies in the future.

Testing Course for Verification and Succession

We have established various paving specifications for evaluating newly developed materials and construction techniques. By recreating actual construction environments, we can perform technology demonstrations.
Additionally, it is used as a training center to cultivate next-generation engineers, enabling the development of human resources who will support road infrastructure in the future by helping to pass down expert skills.
